' Quote courtesy of InterContinental * * * * * * * * We stayed at this resort soon after its grand opening in the summer of 2005, and really enjoyed the resort as well as the surrounding community of Obersalzberg, and Salzburg is only a short drive away. Southern Bavaria is beautiful with its mountains and pristine lakes, it is beautiful all year round. This is a great resort to spend a few days to recharge and rejuvenate. |

| Berchtesgaden is located amongst the mountains of southern Bavaria, the the resort is in the middle of these picturesque surroundings. |

| Part of the stay was in a two-floor duplex suite. This is the floor plan of the 3rd floor of the resort, with the red arrow pointing to our suite. |

| Entrance to the duplex suite is on the lower level, with a long flight of stairs leading to the double-wide upper level. Total space for the two levels (including outdoor terrace) is 154 square meters, more than 1650 square feet. |

| The top floor of te resort is a public access area, connected to each of the duplex suite's outdoor terrace on the second level. Here you can barely made out the railing of the public area on the top level. |

| The lower level of the duplex suite is relatively narrow, but with a balcony looking across to the opposite wing. |

| Flat-screen TV and a work desk at the entrance level. |

| A day-bed is oppsite the TV and under the stairs to the second level. |

| Notice that the ceiling above this area is very high, the second level is designed like a loft. |

| There is a half bath at this level. |
